The Scheme of the Academy

The local community in the Holy Land, particularly in Palestinian cities and Jerusalem, lacks the provision of systematic and technical sports services and mainly for children. Sport is considered a vibrant element of attraction and polarization for hundreds of children, and a spinal mean for laying ethical and human values for our children on both the psychological and physical levels. Sport as recalled by the Vatican is “the incentive towards the advancement of humanity.” By referring to the Greek Tradition of the Olympic Truce, we find that tournaments during the Greek Olympic were the main reason behind the end of war among the contending States. Hence, sport is considered a nerve factor for human development and a source of rejuvenated relations among people.

The Academy Vision as Related to Sustainable Development

The process of human development is continuous and ongoing. It mainly depends on the accomplishment of clear and concrete indicators related to the change acquired on the stereotypical thinking of children, and liberating them from the constraints of the reality that confines their future. Consequently, any plan or guidance is offered to support the academy should stem from a partnership based on achieving the goals and objectives of the Academy to enable the accomplishment of its sustainable work and duty towards the society.

Pursuant to the agreement,  Children Without Borders Football Academy is considered the only official and accredited representative to the Palestinian Football Federation for the training of football for both sexes within five and sixteen years. The Academy has the right to open branches and centers in other Palestinian cities and villages, where the scope of work also includes Gaza-Strip. The Palestinian Football Federation grants the athletic and legal cover for the academy.

The Legal Status of the Academy

Financial Independence

The Academy depends in its work on private donations, and self-supporting resources through its activities, in order to preserve its independence and flexibility. It is a self-governing body that is not subject to any authority that may have an impact on its mission, and/or values, which was founded for, and / or harm the policy of both parties and their respective inclinations and approaches. However, the Franciscan Foundation for the Holy Land is considered the first and most important partner which sponsors most of our activities.
